Applebot
Apple · Feeds a search index
If your robots.txt has no rules for Applebot but has some for Googlebot, Applebot follows the Googlebot ones. To keep a page out of the AI-generated answers in Siri and Search, Apple points to the nosnippet meta tag.

If you block it
You ask for your pages to be left out of the index the assistant (Apple: Siri and Spotlight) draws its answers from.
Allow or block
A group of its own makes Applebot ignore the “User-agent: *” rules. If you have Disallow lines there that should still apply to it, repeat them inside its group. To allow it, writing nothing is usually enough.
