Bingbot
Microsoft · Feeds a search index
Bingbot is Bing's standard crawler and handles most of its crawling each day. Besides robots.txt, Bing Webmaster Tools lets you set its crawl rate hour by hour, and the Verify Bingbot tool checks whether an IP really belongs to it.

If you block it
You drop out of Bing and, with it, out of Microsoft Copilot's answers, which lean on the same index.
Allow or block
A group of its own makes Bingbot ignore the “User-agent: *” rules. If you have Disallow lines there that should still apply to it, repeat them inside its group. To allow it, writing nothing is usually enough.
Allow
User-agent: Bingbot Allow: /
Block
User-agent: Bingbot Disallow: /
